Job Summary
Under the direction of the Senior Benefits Manager this position is primarily responsible for 403(b) Plan administration compliance reporting and customer service. Manage the day-to-day administration activities of the 403(b) Plan. Maintain a thorough understanding of the Plan Document provisions and regulations that govern compliance. Review and maintain the Plan Document Summary Plan Description Investment and Loan Policies and desktop procedures. Prepare and participate in the annual activities of Plan administration. Manage administrative error resolution quality control and coordination of Participant communications. Maintain knowledge with regulations and updates governing retirement administration. Organize and attend the Retirement Plan Committee meetings on a quarterly basis as a non-voting member. Maintain regular and consistent work site attendance including but not limited to working evenings weekends and /or holidays as needed.
Required Qualifications
1. Education: Bachelors Degree or a combination of education and work experience 2. 3-4 years of experience with Retirement Plan administration 3. Ability to interpret Plan Document provisions 4. Strong auditing skills with ability to analyze spreadsheets and manipulate data 5. Working knowledge of Employee Retirement Income and Security Act Department of Labor and Internal Revenue Service regulatory requirements 6. Expert knowledge of Excel and proficiency in HRIS systems
Preferred Qualifications
1. Credentials: Accredited Pension Administrator ( APA ) or Accredited Pension Representative ( APR ) 2. Advanced knowledge of Employee Retirement Income and Security Act Department of Labor and Internal Revenue Service regulatory requirements 3. Working knowledge of Banner Operating System Benefits Module 4. Experience with EPCRS 5. Supervisory experience
