ABOUT THIS ROLE
TheSoftware EngineerIwill be part ofApexsApex Leadership & Development Program (ALDP) designed to enable success through an intensive 6-8 weekcross-functional training program to learn financial services and align to a specific department. The program is designed for new graduates and will provide ongoing education and career development.SoftwareEngineersare free to explore unique solutions and try fresh ideas that maybenefitour financial services and trading businesses and our investment companies.
This opportunity is expected to begin early July 2026 at our Austin Texas office location.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Working with a variety of languages/frameworks such as Java Go Python and technologies such as RDBMS Kubernetes and Docker Google Cloud Platform
Designing developing testing deployingmaintainingand improving software
Building resilient self-scaling self-healing services that allow you to sleep through the night
Writing high-quality well-tested code. Maintaining high code-quality standards across your team via code reviews
Attending trainingand expand domain knowledge onAccounts creation and Maintenance
Encouraging innovation by questioning business processes throughout the company
Required Skills/Abilities:
Ability to start early July 2026 alongside other cohort members.
Experience of software development skills in a modern object-oriented programming language ideally Java / Go Pythonconsidered a plus an RDBMSor SQL and the ability to learn new languages and technologies quickly
Ability torelocateto Austin TX
Excellent problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
Effective communication skills
Previousknowledge in financial marketsisnt but interest is a plus
Adaptability: while you enjoyestablishingprocess and standards you understand the need to be flexible and enjoy trying new things
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering Electrical or Computer Engineering or a related field.
Minimum requirement of a 2.5 cumulative GPA.
Work Environment:
This opportunity operates in an office environment 4 days a week during the 1-year program at Apexs Austin Texas location.
Upon successful completion of the program this role will operate in a hybrid model with 4 days in-office per week.
