As a Criminal Law subject matter expert you will play a pivotal role in shaping our product and reinforcing LEAPs position as the leading Criminal Law software solution in the UK. Working in partnership with the Head of Criminal Law you will:
- Identify opportunities for future product development and content initiatives
- Create and drive projects that enhance the end-user experience and increase product engagement
- Collaborate with customers and stakeholders to gather insights and feedback
- Track analyse and report key performance indicators to the team

Meet the Criminal Law & Customer Success teams
Working in Criminal Law means staying sharp and ahead of the competition. This role is ideal for someone who believes custom technology and AI can make that possible. Youll join LEAPs new Criminal Law vertical helping build tailored products and services that empower practitioners in the field.
As part of a collaborative team of Product Owners Developers and Specialists youll help create innovative Criminal Law- specific solutions. Within our Client Success team youll act as a trusted LEAP expert onboarding training and supporting clients to get the most from our software. Through hands-on face-to-face guidance youll give clients the confidence to use LEAP effectively and focus on what they do best.
Youll also work closely with our marketing sales and renewal teams to ensure our products and message align with client needs making a real impact from day one to business as usual.
RequirementsWhat youll do
- Develop and maintain an outstanding knowledge of LEAP Criminal Law & its companion products.
- Promote use of LEAP Criminal Law products & drive adoption in Criminal Law.
- Shape the product development of software in Criminal Law.
- Report on in-depth competitor analyses in the areas of Legal Technology.
- Ensure LEAPs processes comply with up-to-date legislation within Criminal Law.
- Research forms legislation and legal processes relevant to the criminal jurisdiction.
- Identify the need for schedule & conduct onsite/remote visits & training sessions.
- Attend industry events to speak with existing customers.
What youll bring
- 3-5 years experience working within Criminal Law with experience in all aspects of Criminal Law.
- Up-to-date specialist knowledge of the law and legal system and relevant experience of handling a wide range of cases.
- Experience with case management systems.
- Knowledge of legal aid and legal aid billing would be advantageous.
- An understanding of the small law firms culture & expectations.
- A passion for technology.
- Budgeting skills and commercial awareness.
- Ability to work on own initiative.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Windows Microsoft Word Outlook and Excel.
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal); skilled in dealing sensitively with clients.
- Completed a degree or equivalent qualification.
