Job Summary
About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Registered Manager to lead our 4-bed Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) service. You will create a safe nurturing therapeutic home where children feel valued supported and empowered to achieve positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the day-to-day management of the home and its staff team.
Ensure full compliance with Ofsted safeguarding and regulatory standards.
Develop personalised care plans with a therapeutic trauma-informed approach.
Build strong relationships with local authorities families and external partners.
Recruit train mentor and develop a high-performing staff team.
Manage budgets staffing levels reporting and placement stability.
Deliver a culture where children feel safe cared for and listened to.
Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead.
Requirements
Level 5 Management Diploma (or working towards).
Strong experience managing EBD childrens services.
Excellent leadership communication and resilience skills.
Ability to inspire teams and drive a positive home culture.

Required Skills:
Person Specification Experience working with children/young people with EBD and/or LD (desirable). Knowledge of safeguarding child protection and behaviour management. Compassionate resilient and able to remain calm in challenging situations. Flexible to work shifts including evenings weekends and sleep-ins (where applicable). Willingness to work towards Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (if not already held).
