Home to the worlds oldest classic horse race the St. Leger Doncaster Racecourse is a unique multipurpose venue welcoming over 500000 guests to over 35 fixtures each year and a full events calendar hosting events such as Weddings Conferences Boxing Summer Crafting Classic Car Show Antiques Fayres and lots more.

If thats not enough we also have on-site The Hilton Garden Inn boasting 154 bedrooms 2 conference and exhibition suites a banqueting site Restaurant and Bar. Responsibilities of the Role-

• To promote a happy and welcoming atmosphere within the venue.
• Keeping areas of work and public areas clean and tidy during and after opening hours.
• Undertaking cleaning duties as required - paying particular attention to Health & Safety and COSHH guidelines.
• Operation of the plate wash and pot wash machines along with carrying out daily maintenance and cleaning.
• Assisting in stock rotation and the safe storage of food in line with Health and Safety regulations.
• The use of chemicals when required whilst working in accordance with PPE guidelines.
• To work both alone or as part of a team being responsible ensuring that all guests needs are met to the highest possible standard.
• To serve all guests efficiently with the correct food and beverage service knowledge cleaning down and carrying out all necessary duties as required by your manager.
• Keep the area of work and public areas clean and tidy before during and after opening hours and to undertake cleaning duties as required paying particular attention to Health and Safety and COSHH Guidelines.
• Adhere to and follow all licensing policies and procedures.
• Handle cash stock and equipment in a secure manner
• Adhere to Company policies and procedures.
• Undertake other reasonable duties in line with business demands.

The person we are looking to join our Kitchen team will be

• Demonstrate a passion for quality service and standards.
• Strong interpersonal skills friendly confident outgoing.
• Strong numerical and literacy skill.
• The ability to handle difficult or conflict situations.

• The ability to work with a smile on your face whatever the weather.
• To work with honesty and integrity.
• Experience working in a hospitality environment is preferred but not essential.

What is casual work

Casual work is a great solution as it enables you to work flexibly around other commitments in your life. Once you have registered your interest we will contact you in advance to offer you department based shifts at racedays or hospitality functions. There are usually a range of shifts available and opportunities for work are based on busy seasons and the annual racing calendar. Positions will be allocated on the day as part of the briefing.
