Heavy Equipment Mechanic, Leduc Repair Shop

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair of heavy construction and maintenance equipment such as excavators loaders dozers highway trucks asphalt plants pavers rollers and other various off road equipment
• Follow manufacturer and internal maintenance programs and inspection procedures
• Engage and participate in Ledcor safety policies and procedures
• Complete maintenance records and documentation as required

Qualifications

• Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician from a recognized authority
• Experience with heavy civil construction or highway paving equipment (e.g. snowplows) is an asset
• Valid Drivers License and a 3-year drivers abstract
• Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions with diagrams or sketches
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Work Conditions

• Based in Leduc Alberta with limited travel to field operations

• Local applicants only (no camp)

• Base hourly rate: $29.40 to $49.00/hour
