EXP Services Inc. is searching for anElectrical Principalto join our Mechanical/Electrical team our Markham ON office. The successful applicant will be joining a diverse engineering group in Central Canada poised for growth and challenging opportunities well into the future.
What a day at EXP has in store for you
- Reports to the Senior Vice President Buildings work independently and with minimal supervision on projects from start to completion.
- Leads project activities and mentor design staff on all aspects of their work.
- Oversees a team of project engineers and designers for technical resourcing and design quality.
- Responsible for meeting engineering quality standards on assigned projects.
- Manages development of design concepts and ensures proper application and execution.
- Provides mentorship and supervision for project engineers and designers.
- Leads proposals and pursuits and supports business development.
- Oversees financial & technical project management.
- Checks the work of others for accuracy and completeness and manage time to meet project budget and schedule.
- Leads the design team to produce schematic design design development tender and construction documents that meet the project requirements within the allocated schedule and budget.
- Writes studies and reports on electrical system work.
What your experience looks like
- The ideal candidate will have 15 years of experience in the Electrical Engineering field.
- Professional Engineer () licensed with PEO is required.
- Proven team leadership experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills and articulate verbal communication-essential for collaborating with clients consultants and contractors.
- Thorough understanding of electrical engineering concepts and ability to effectively communicate ideas to others.
- Advanced oral and written communication skills.
- Presentation and interview skills.
- Bachelor of Science in ElectricalEngineering or equivalent degree.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word Excel PowerPoint Project etc.) products and electrical design software.
- Auto CAD experience and REVIT MEP proficiency desired.
