The Assistant Dean Health Sciences supports the Dean in the overall administration operation and assurance of academic integrity of Health Sciences programs. This role involves effective communication with internal and external stakeholders collaboration with department heads support in curriculum and accreditation efforts and contribution to continuous improvement through data-informed decision-making. The assistant also aids in faculty development conflict resolution grant implementation and policy the Deans absence the assistant may oversee operations as assigned. Reports to the Dean Health Sciences.
Minimum Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited institution with a masters degree; must meet credentialing requirements for teaching in a discipline in the division; at least four years of full-time teaching and academic administrative experience; knowledge of and experience in strategic planning budget management program development and accreditation processes; and teaching experience. Successful results of a criminal background check are required.
Pursuant to College policy it is an employment eligibility requirement for an applicant to meet the requirements of 435.04(2) Florida Statutes related to background investigations. Any person failing to meet the requirements of the statute will be deemed not qualified to hold employment in this position. A Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) approved background check will be conducted on every successful candidate as a condition of employment and any person who fails to disclose any adverse information contained in the background investigation at the time of submitting the employment application will be disqualified from employment.
Annual Salary: $70000.00 $85000.00 depending on qualifications; salary is negotiable.
