The BTS e-Commerce leader is responsible for the strategic vision leadership and end-to-end management of AbbVies global e-Commerce technology platforms. Supporting seamless business-to-business (B2B) >$3B annual transactions multi-business unit & global and business-to-consumer (B2C) operations (high volume high visible events) this leader guides performance scalability compliance and innovation in alignment with AbbVies commercial goals across Aesthetics Therapeutics Eye Care etc.
Responsibilities
Define and lead the global e-Commerce technology strategy in partnership with commercial digital and executive leadership.
Oversee the development operations and continuous evolution of integrated e-Commerce platforms across multiple business units (B2B and B2C) ensuring robustness during high-value and high-volume periods.
Champion customer-centric digital solutions and optimize user experiences for both healthcare professionals and consumers.
Drive seamless integration with enterprise systems (ERP web/digital order processing CRM supply chain analytics security etc.) to optimize end-to-end workflows.
Ensure rigorous compliance with data privacy security PCI and global regulatory standards.
Build manage and inspire high-performing internal teams and external/vendor partners including managers and cross-functional leads.
Monitor performance metrics transaction reliability uptime and respond rapidly to platform or incident challenges including surge events.
Implement executive-level reporting routines delivering actionable insights on performance and risk.
Drive continual process and technology improvement leveraging leading trends (personalization mobile-first payment innovation AI automation).
Make strategic decisions influencing the future of e-Commerce technology at AbbVie supporting long-range business impact.
Build strong relationships and collaborate extensively with senior leadership influencing policies and organizational direction.
Demonstrate AbbVies enterprise mindset leadership attributes and support a culture of talent development and succession.
Qualifications :
Bachelors degree in computer science Information Technology or related field required; masters degree preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of progressive IT leadership ideally with direct experience managing global scale B2B and B2C e-Commerce platforms in regulated environments (pharma/healthcare preferred). Will also consider 14 years of relevant technical experience.
Proven management of high-value transaction systems (>$3B) and e-Commerce operations during both steady state and peak demand.
Demonstrated ability to manage operating and capital budgets of at least $8M.
Demonstrated success managing and leading geographically distributed multicultural teams of 12 FTEs and large professional services pool with varied structures (direct matrix vendors managed services).
Subject matter expertise in cloud infrastructure e-commerce architecture APIs security and compliance.
A passion for continuous learning and staying current with emerging trends is strongly desired.
Executive-level communication skills capable of conveying complex technical and risk items to diverse audiences.
Track record of employee development talent management and creating a culture of collaboration and performance.
Experience with process improvement strategy development resource planning and implementation of large-scale systems.
Strong alignment with AbbVies Ways of Working and Leadership Attributes.

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.
