Job Summary
Contract to Hire
We are seeking a highly skilled AWS Solutions Architect for a contract-to-hire opportunity. This role is responsible for designing implementing and optimizing scalable secure and cost-effective cloud solutions on AWS. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on architecture experience can engage with both technical and business stakeholders and is comfortable transitioning into a long-term role.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and architect AWS cloud solutions aligned with business security and performance requirements
- Lead cloud architecture discussions solution designs and technical decision-making
- Develop and review AWS reference architectures diagrams and design documentation
- Support cloud migrations from on-prem or hybrid environments to AWS
- Implement best practices for scalability availability security and cost optimization
- Work closely with DevOps application data and security teams to ensure seamless integration
- Provide guidance on Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
- Participate in troubleshooting root cause analysis and performance tuning
- Mentor engineers and provide architectural oversight during implementation
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions
Required Qualifications
- 7 years of overall IT experience with 4 years of hands-on AWS architecture experience
- Strong knowledge of AWS services including EC2 VPC IAM S3 RDS Lambda ECS/EKS CloudWatch and Route 53
- Experience designing highly available fault-tolerant and secure cloud architectures
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Strong understanding of networking security and identity management in AWS
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform CloudFormation or similar)
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interface with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate or Professional
- Experience with hybrid cloud or multi-cloud environments
- Exposure to containerization and Kubernetes
