Job Summary

I. Job Summary

Plays a key role in supporting and enhancing MAS applications built on the IBM i (AS/400) platform. Executes hands-on experience with legacy systems and a strong understanding of how they integrate with business operations. Works closely with end users across departments to identify functional gaps gather requirements and implement improvements that align application capabilities with operational needs.

II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day support for AS/400 applications including troubleshooting and resolving user issues.
  • Collaborate with business teams to understand workflows and identify opportunities for application improvements.
  • Assist with system changes testing and implementation of new features or updates.
  • Document business processes application changes and user guides.
  • Liaise with IT and business customers to ensure system reliability and performance.
  • Propose and implement solutions to improve system efficiency and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.


III. Qualifications

A. Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree (accredited) in Computer Science MIS Business Administration or in lieu of degree
  • High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and 4 years of relevant work experience.
  • 5 years of relevant work experience (in addition to education requirement).


B. Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to analyze complex data identify issues and propose effective solutions utilizing SQL query.
  • Excellent communication skills to interpret functional requirements for technical teams and convey insights and training to business stakeholders.
  • Proficient in word and excel with the ability to create pivot tables.
  • Knowledge of the waste industry. Experienced with IBM i / AS/400 applications. Understand the software development lifecycles (Agile/Scrum) and software platform JIRA.

The expected base pay range for this position across the U.S. is $84300.00 - $123625.00. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific salary offered to a successful candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidates relevant experience education training certifications qualifications and work location.
