Position Title:LeadRegistered Nurse(RN)
Program/Dept:Marshall Street clinic Redwood City (Case management programs) and Zanker Road clinic San Jose (Mental Health outpatient programs)
Reports to:Medical Director
Classification:RegularParttime(24hrsper week) non-exempt
Location: onsite; alternating between the Marshall Street and Zanker road sites
Salary Range: $65-70

Position Summary:Undersupervision of theMedical Director theLeadRegistered Nurse(Lead RN) providesclinical nursing leadership across outpatient psychiatry;ensuring scope-aligned high-reliability delivery of LAIs labsvitalsand nursing documentation.Supervises LVNs and leads clinical triage and first escalation prior to MD/NP involvement. TheLead RNwill also continuously focus on clinical workflows to streamline improve andoptimizeprocesses across sites. Theywillemphasizequality and audit readiness.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Clinical Leadership & Triage
  • Provide oversight of performance of all nursing team members andfacilitatescope-appropriate triage for LVNs.
  • Serve as the primary nursing escalation point prior to prescriber involvement.
  • Effectively and consistentlymonitormedication side effects/safety and coordinatetimelyescalation.
Care Delivery & Quality
  • EnsuretimelyandaccurateLAI labs vitals and nursing assessments.
  • Standardize cross-site workflows;maintainaudit readiness.
  • Participate in case conferences QA reviews and performancehuddles
  • Provide direct client care when needed namely if there is a shortage of nurse coverage in the clinic.
Training Supervision & Onboarding
  • Supervise coach and onboard LVNs; reinforce Title 16 scope.
  • Educatenursing teamonpsychotropic monitoring harm reduction and chronic diseasesupports.
Operations & Collaboration
  • Track core nursing KPIs (LAI adherence; labs/vitals completion; documentation accuracy; timeliness)and work with nurses tooptimizeperformance in these areas.
  • Review nursing team metrics on billable service volume and revenue working with each team member tooptimizeservice delivery to clients.
  • Support coverage planning/scheduling with leadership.
  • Partner with Medical Directorand/orChief Clinical Officeron policy and workflow updates.
  • Remain flexible and willing to float between clinics/locations based on clinical and team demand.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Active California RN license (required).
  • 2 years psychiatric/community mental health experience (preferred).
  • Working knowledgeof: LAIs psychotropic monitoring HTN/DM/metabolic risk.
  • Proficiencyin using EHR platforms and software.
  • Experience overseeing services that involverecovery-oriented trauma-informed culturally responsive care.
  • Demonstrated experienceexhibitingstrong clinical judgment particularly in situations that require triage and escalation.
  • At least 3 years of direct experience supervising and overseeing a team ofLVNs;demonstratedaptitude in people management.
  • Experience implementing workflows andparticipatingin ongoing improvement of processes.
Position Requirements:
  • Physical:Occasionally required to push/pull objects up to 50 lbs. and to lift/carry objects up to 25 lbs. Frequentlyto perform moderately difficult manipulative tasks such as typing writing etc. Must be able to walk stand and sit for extended periods.
  • Sensory: Frequently required to read documentswrittenreports and plans. Must be able to distinguish normal sounds with some background noise as in answering the phone interacting with residents and staff etc. Must be able to speak clearly and understand/be understood using the English language.
  • Cognitive:Frequently required to concentrate on moderate detail with constant interruption. Must be able to attend a task/function for 20-45 minutes at a time. Frequently required to understand and relate to specific ideas several at a time.Must be able to remember multiple tasks/assignments given to self and others over a period of several days.
  • Environmental Conditions:Frequent exposure to varied office and mixed (residential/office) environments. Occasional exposure to toxins and poisonous substances dust and loud noises.
  • Equipment:Frequently required to use a computer phone and fax machine.
Essential Requirements:
  • Must be able to meet and receive a criminal records clearance as required by Title XXII other licensing regulations and Caminar practices.
  • This position may require limited occasional or frequent driving. If required a valid California driver license a reliable personal vehicle and current personal auto insuranceisrequired by addition an MVR sufficient to obtain andmaintaininsurability under agency auto liability policies are all essentialjobrequirements.
  • Must be able to pass post offer pre-employment medical and drug tests as required under State Community Care Licensing regulations and/or agency policies.
  • If applicable a personal cell phone with reliable service and a data plan to use for business purposes.
  • May beto obtain andmaintainFirst Aid and CPR certification.
