Schedule: Every other weekend required

Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing comprehensive patient care within an oncology inpatient unit specializing in leukemia and lymphoma. This role includes evaluating patient conditions supporting physicians during care delivery and implementing evidence-based nursing interventions.
The RN will develop individualized plans of care perform therapeutic interventions document patient progress and advocate for high-standard patient-centered care. Additional responsibilities include continuous assessment prioritizing patient needs and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct patient assessments based on medical diagnoses patient concerns and functional health patterns.
Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans.
Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and manage comprehensive patient care.
Document care in accordance with nursing standards patient acuity and clinical priorities.
Support evidence-based practice and contribute to innovation in care delivery.
Provide patient-centered care aligned with professional nursing practice models.
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure effective patient care.
Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 2 years of acute adult oncology experience specializing in leukemia and lymphoma in an inpatient setting.
Education Requirements
Required: ASN
Preferred: BSN
Certifications & Licensure
Required
Active New Jersey RN license or compact multistate RN license
AHA BLS Certification
Preferred
Telemetry certification
ONS chemotherapy certification
Schedule Details
Shift: 7:00 AM 7:30 PM
Hours per Day: 12
Days per Week: 3
Every Other Weekend: Required
