Responsible for Control of Work (CoW) execution in partnership with Technology Projects and Execution (TPE) asset HSE teams including Asset Retirement Projects and Chevron Real Estate & Labs worldwide. Develops and maintains CoW standards appropriate for risk. Provides technical guidance mentoring and training to build local competency and assure safeguards are in place to execute work safely. Responsible for tracking execution effectiveness and implementing improvement initiatives to prevent SIF events. Reports to the Senior Manager CoW Execution Safety Operations in the HSE Technical Execution Center.
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
Develops and maintains CoW standards appropriate for risk
Provides technical guidance mentoring and training to build local competency and assure safeguards are in place to execute work safely
Responsible for tracking execution effectiveness and implementing improvement initiatives to prevent SIF events
Required Qualifications:
Familiarity with industry and regulatory health and safety standards and regulations and their application to field execution activities
Experience developing and implementing standards processes practical training and tools with a focus on Asset specific risks and safeguards to eliminate significant injury and fatality events
Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholder/customer relationships and provide support remotely
Ability to travel to field locations worldwide including weekends and holidays
Preferred Qualifications:
Understanding of asset retirement and major project operations and associated CoW risks and safeguards with recent and relevant (10 years) asset retirement or major project experience preferred
Certified Safety Professional or equivalent designation
Demonstrated history of working cross functionally to enable stakeholder operations build positive relationships and influence beyond authority.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to identify improvement opportunities working closely with HSE teams leaders operations and contractors.
Ability to communicate with multiple levels of organizations from executive leadership to field crews.
Ability to work across cultures and locations while managing multiple activities simultaneously.
