Brown Inc. has a career opportunity available for an experienced and motivated mid-level Test Technician in our Huntsville AL location. Our three divisions Engineering and Test Technical Services and Mission Systems make DTB a diverse and interesting place to work.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Interpret engineering drawings for fabrication and assembly of test fixtures
- Utilize tools and equipment required to assemble test fixtures
- Strain gage installation including interpreting drawings for location surface preparation bonding soldering and diagnostics
- Assemble hydraulic systems composed of hoses servo valves actuators and manifolds
- Interfaces with customers and the engineering team
- Perform and document inspections of work
- Travel as required within the continental US (on average 10 - 20%)
- Overtime and flexible shifts will be required during certain periods of a project
The ideal candidate will need:
- Minimum of a High School Diploma
- Min 3 years experience in mechanical structural and hydraulic equipment assembly and setup
- Aircraft structural testing experience is a plus.
- Mechanical hands-on technical training is a plus
- Must be able to work from engineering drawings tailored for test fixture assembly
- Must be experienced and resourceful in the use and operation of tools and equipment used to assemble steel fixturing
- Ability to work night shift
- US Citizenship Required
