Job Role and Responsibilities:
- Assist with finance accounting tax and business processes and systems across all corporate and fund entities
- Corporate financial reporting and functions
- Collaborate with external accountants and support preparation of financial statements
- Assist in the preparation of budgets actual vs budget data and financial analysis
- Assist with cash flow preparation
- Management of accounts payable and receivable processes
- Review and approval of team expenses in line with the firms expense policy
- Fund reporting functions
- Coordination of quarterly portfolio company valuations in conjunction with investment team and external valuation agent
- Review of financial reporting prepared by external fund administrator
- Oversight of preparation of LP and GP accounts and reports
- Review of all internal and fund expense allocations including review of relevant legal documentation
- Assist with the annual audit process and communication with auditors
- Communicate and provide support to the external tax accountants in the preparation of annual returns
- Assist with annual regulatory filings
- Perform ad hoc analysis and special projects as needed
- Assist with other firm operational projects including coordination of firm IT and HR related products
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in accounting required and CPA preferred
- 5-7 years of experience in fund accounting for venture or private equity funds
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP
- Ability to prioritize workload especially monthly and quarterly needs
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Work independently and multi-task
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
- Proficient in MS Office with an emphasis on Excel
