This full-time on-site position offers a unique opportunity to provide high-quality anesthetic care in a supportive environment.
As a Locum Anesthesiologist you will play a critical role in ensuring patient safety and comfort during surgical procedures. You will work closely with a team of healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional anesthetic services while adhering to best practices and protocols. Responsibilities
- Administer anesthetics to patients undergoing surgical procedures
- Monitor patients vital signs throughout the surgery
- Collaborate with surgeons and other medical staff to ensure patient safety
- Assess patients medical histories and perform pre-anesthetic evaluations
- Manage post-anesthesia care and address any complications
- Stay current with advancements in anesthesiology practices
- Provide guidance and support to junior medical staff
- Document all patient care activities accurately and timely
Requirements
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
- Completion of an accredited residency in Anesthesiology
- Strong understanding of anesthetic techniques and protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient care
- Current medical licensure and board certification (or eligibility) in Anesthesiology
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications
Schedule: 8 10 or 12-hour shifts
1:7 1:10 or 1:14 weeknight and weekend beeper call rotations
Shifts available at several facilities
Spinal regional and epidural anesthesia
Cases: Spine OB complex vascular complex orthopedic ventilation management and central/arterial line insertion
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
