Summary Of Position
Under the administrative supervision of the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences Career Director this position is central to the college Career and Professional Success the context of the UNH Wildcat Way to Professional Success Model counsel students and alumni in exploring educational personal or career goals; identifying interests skills and possible majors; exploring internship/experiential learning opportunities; relating majors and competencies to career options; developing concrete action steps to advance career options and the job search process; and researching graduate and post-graduate professional programs.
Other Minimum Qualifications
Masters degree in education counseling or related student service area. Strong interpersonal skills and communication techniques. Strong computer skills and ability to quickly adapt to new technologies/tools. Strong teamwork and collaborative skills. Ability to work efficiently and with careful attention to detail. Experience working with diverse student populations.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
Experience with the career advising process for college age students. Background with issues facing college students from diverse backgrounds. Experience using email and social media as a directed communication tool. Proficiency in developing content for web and social media channels. Experience in making presentations.
