At Hitachi Energy we are establishing and developing an Operation Center of Excellence in Madrid Spain (ESOPC) within Grid & Power Quality Solutions business in Europe (HBUEU). We are seeking highly qualified engineers in the fields of Power Electronics Grid Integration and Research and Development (R&D) to join us in this exciting opportunity.
In this role you will play a pivotal part in designing and implementing control and protection systems for Hitachi Energys Power Conversion products and applications. Youll collaborate with global colleagues partners and customers learning and growing.
How youll make an impact
Design and program control and protection software for power converter systems.
Specify auxiliary components and define technical requirements with suppliers and internal teams.
Test and verify control systems in simulation on real-time simulators and on hardware.
Support commissioning customer training and serviceboth remotely and on-site.
Maintain software and documentation for control and protection systems.
Collaborate with sales during concept and tender phases.
Your background
Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or similar.
Ideally 3 to 5 years of experience in control systems or power electronics.
Familiarity with MACH or 800xA systems is a plus. Experience with HiDraw Compact Control Builder or Matlab Simulink is also beneficial.
Willingness to travel globally and work on-site.
Fluent in English both written and spoken. Spanish or other European languages are a plus.
Strong analytical thinking structured work style and a team-oriented mindset.
