Job Summary: The Environmental Service Supervisor is responsible for all Housekeeping operations Responsibilities include assisting in setting measureable goals and standards that achieves excellent quality patient and associate satisfaction results control expense cost by monitoring supply usage and inventory levels to achieve financial goals set by the Service Line Director develop a stable competent work force and encourage personal growth of all personnel through periodic evaluations and review establish a positive working relationship with all EVS Associates Engineering Safety Infection Control and all Clinical Managers through daily rounding. Perform additional duties as assigned by Manager or Chief Administrator Officer
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: At least a High School diploma or GED. Associates Degree or Bachelors Degree Preferred.
Experience: Two years supervisory experience required health care supervisory experience preferred OR 4 years of internal healthcare environmental services experience.
Licensure/Certification:

Knowledge/Skills: Excellent Customer Service skills: written and verbal communications telephone etiquette; Basic computer skills to include at a minimum: spreadsheet word processing HBOC and job related software. Proficient in handling all types of transports Proper body mechanics. Professional and neat appearance is required to project a positive image of Roper St. Francis Healthcare. Must maintain strict confidentiality of all work-related information.

Contacts: Constantly interacts with Patients Families Employees support staff and peers. Has less but considerable interactions with Department Managers and Administrators.

Constant reaching with hands/arms. Intermittent stooping kneeling crouching or crawling. Corrected hearing and vision to normal range. Possible exposure to blood body fluids or tissue. Possible exposure to infectious materials communicable diseases toxic substances biohazardous materials and/or other conditions common to a healthcare environment. Constant exposure to wet or humid (non-weather) conditions. Frequent exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals. Intermittent exposure to risk of electrical shock. Moderate to loud noise level in work area. Requires hand-eye coordination.
