Specialist, Legal

Responsibilities:

• Draft review negotiate and advise on a variety of agreements such as NDAs vendor lease marketing recruitment loan employment IP licensing contracts and data protection agreements
• Provide strategic legal advice to stakeholders ensuring regulatory compliance with the companys business objectives
• Update contract templates as necessary
• Develop and implement procedures for contract retention management and administration; including the use of Onit
• Assist with beginning to end process for legal matters (sometimes includes assisting with approvals or signatures/electronic or wet signatures)
• Responsible for all corporate governance and corporate secretarial matters
• Ensure compliance with companys standard contracts and other corporate policies
• Partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders and liaise with our APAC and global HQ legal teams to ensure common standards and practices on contracts
• Manage and resolve disputes involving multiple stakeholders including handling cases filed with regulatory authorities and external parties
• Conduct legal research to support business initiatives policy development and informed decision-making
• Conduct training for stakeholders to implement legal and compliance best practices

Qualifications :

Requirements:

•  Either:
  •  3 years relevant experience as a paralegal / legal specialist OR
  • 2 years relevant experience as a practicing lawyer or in-house counsel
• Hands on experience in broad commercial law in-house or with a reputable law firm
• Demonstrated experience in drafting and reviewing commercial terms across a broad range of contracts
• E-commerce/internet industry experience is preferred but not a must
• Commercially astute highly driven and pragmatic with strong influencing expertise
• Strong interest in contracts and contract administration
• Good communication and interpersonal skills; organised and meticulous
• Self-motivated able to work with minimal supervision and under pressure
• Some experience in advising on data protection and corporate secretarial will be advantageous
