Job Summary
We are looking for a Big Data Platform Administrator to operate and maintain large-scale Hadoop-based data lake environments for a leading financial services organization.
Responsibilities:
Operate monitor and support Hadoop-based data lake platforms;
Provide incident response deep troubleshooting and performance tuning across big data components;
Ensure data integrity replication capacity management and resource allocation within HDFS clusters;
Develop maintain and automate monitoring and alerting for platform services and node health;
Support onboarding of new workloads in collaboration with platform and data teams;
Apply patches upgrades and configuration changes to maintain cluster stability and security;
Manage authentication authorization and encryption: Kerberos Ranger/Sentry TLS;
Work closely with storage network and security teams to optimize throughput access controls and backup strategies;
Maintain platform documentation and contribute to knowledge sharing.
Qualifications :
Minimum 5 years of experience in Big Data / Hadoop platform administration;
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent;
Strong knowledge of Hadoop Cloudera YARN Kafka;
Solid expertise in Linux JVM tuning system-level troubleshooting and distributed environments;
Experience with PostgreSQL / SQL databases;
Automation skills using Ansible Python Java;
Strong background in Kerberos cryptography and access control policies;
Understanding of microservices architectures and on-premise deployments;
Fluency in English (mandatory);
Experience in banking or regulated environments is a plus.
