Quality Tools Lead (O&G)

Assist the Project Quality Manager/Quality Control Manager in all activities related to the proper setup and use of QA/QC tools and databases. Ensure training of dedicated resources in Home Office and at site and guarantee correct application of project software database systems interfacing with construction installation and erection contractors.

Location: Project-based (International assignments)
Experience Level: Mid to Senior (5-12 years)

Key Responsibilities

• Support Project Quality Manager/Quality Control Manager in defining appropriate information required for correct setup of QA/QC tools
• Ensure QA databases for audit training and NCR management are correctly set up (data and forms)
• Interface with Construction IT tools administration department to ensure QC databases for Mechanical Completion and weld traceability are correctly configured
• Provide training to operators and coordinators on QA/QC tools usage
• Monitor regular updates of QA/QC data in dedicated tools and report to project/department on effective and efficient tool usage
• Identify discrepancies/criticalities in uploaded data status and support corrective actions definition
• Support development of guidelines to standardize Quality Data approach across different sites
• Interface with Quality Tools Specialists community for best practice sharing
• Ensure adequate collection of experiences to support continuous improvement of Quality tools
• When non-Saipem Quality tools are used interface with departments to find practical solutions for data management and reporting
• Ensure electronic copy of final QA/QC documentation is ready in due time and formats for smooth client delivery
• Interact with Quality Records Controllers to prepare documentation per agreed procedures
• Interface with user and IT departments for troubleshooting that cannot be directly resolved

Qualifications :

Education:

• Bachelors degree in Engineering Computer Science Information Technology or related technical field

Experience:

• 5-12 years in Quality Management Quality Control or IT systems roles
• Experience with quality management databases and software systems
• Background in oil & gas construction or engineering project environments
• Proven experience in system setup configuration and user training

Technical Skills:

• Knowledge of data model databases designing implementing and architecture
• Understanding of business process modeling and analysis
• Familiarity with procedural programming languages (C Python R Java)
• Proficiency with company EDMS (Electronic Document Management Systems)
• Ability to configure projects in EDMS analyze WBS and progress calculations
• Experience creating and analyzing in-depth reports
• Knowledge of Digital Transformation and Industry 4.0 technologies (IoT Cloud etc.)

Quality & Standards Knowledge:

• Strong understanding of ISO 9001 and quality certification schemes (API Q2 ISO 29001)
• Knowledge of Quality Control Plans and inspection activities
• Familiarity with NDT methodologies and welding process quality inspection
• Understanding of industry standards (ASTM ASME AWS ACI etc.)
• Document control and management expertise
