Your Role:
As an Underwriter specializing in Power & Energy (P&E) you will be integral to our underwriting team focusing on the development and underwriting of our portfolio. Your efforts will drive premium growth and profitability while adhering to established this role you will provide technical support collaborate with fellow underwriters and engage with the market to help shape our strategy in the P&E sector.
Your Responsibilities:
- Support the development of the P&E portfolio business plan ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Analyze the performance of the P&E portfolio across all segments to uncover growth opportunities and identify risks that need remediation.
- Prepare and support the reporting functions for the P&E portfolio including monthly management reports and financial forecasts for country regional and COG management.
- Underwrite the P&E portfolio on an ANZ level achieving planned underwriting results for both new and existing business.
- Maintain critical data and documentation within required systems including Generation Next CAT Management Chubb P&E pricing models Workview Policy Management and sanctions approvals.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with producers reinsurers and reinsurance brokers to promote Chubbs coverages products and services.
- Provide professional underwriting expertise and exceptional service to intermediaries.
- Collaborate with brokers to create opportunities for targeted business and leverage existing relationships.
- Facilitate communication across all lines of business to capitalize on whole-of-account opportunities.
- Perform other support duties as directed and participate in related P&E Portfolio projects as requested.
QualificationsYour Skills & Experience:
- Minimum of two years experience as an underwriter specifically in the P&E Sector.
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented with a strong drive to succeed.
- A relevant tertiary qualification in business or related field or equivalent business experience.
- A well-established profile in the broker market with a proven track record in developing key broker relationships and achieving Gross Written Premium (GWP) growth.
- Demonstrated adherence to underwriting standards policies and processes.
- Exceptional communication negotiation and interpersonal skills enabling effective interactions with all levels of Chubb personnel agents brokers and clients.
- Strong analytical skills to assess complex or unusual risks within assigned specialized lines.
