Job Summary
Join our employee-owned engineering firm as a Senior Controls Engineer in Albuquerque. Lead automation projects and design innovative control systems for industrial machinery and processes. Work directly with customers and mentor engineers while delivering solutions using PLC DCS HMI and SCADA platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead design implementation and commissioning of automation systems
- Develop control system architectures schematics and documentation
- Program PLC DCS and RTU systems and HMI/SCADA visualizations
- Apply Ladder Sequential Function Chart Structured Text VBA NET and SQL
- Design industrial networks with Ethernet IP Profinet and Modbus
- Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers
- Manage project schedules budgets and ensure profitability
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Control Mechanical Chemical Engineering or Computer Science
- 10 years of Controls Engineering experience
- Strong experience with PLC platforms (Rockwell Siemens Modicon)
- HMI/SCADA systems knowledge (ICONICS Wonderware GE CIMPLICITY iFIX Rockwell FactoryTalk View)
- DCS experience is a plus (Emerson DeltaV)
- Electrical schematic and control panel design experience
- Experience in semiconductor life sciences food and beverage oil and gas mining and water/wastewater industries
- Local to Albuquerque or established ties to the area
