Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Plant Operations Manager to lead daily operations at a growing industrial manufacturing facility in Ayer Massachusetts. This leadership role is responsible for driving production performance ensuring workplace safety maintaining equipment reliability and achieving operational excellence. The ideal candidate has strong experience in automated manufacturing environments and enjoys leading teams in a hands-on fast-paced setting.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee all daily plant operations to ensure safe efficient and high-quality production.
Manage automated systems and equipment to meet output and performance goals.
Direct and coordinate production activities while maintaining strict safety and quality standards.
Implement preventive and corrective maintenance programs to reduce downtime.
Partner with environmental and safety teams to ensure full compliance with OSHA DEP and other regulations.
Lead train and schedule facility staff to promote productivity safety and teamwork.
Analyze production data to identify process improvements using Lean manufacturing principles.
Manage special projects focused on improving efficiency sustainability and profitability.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of management experience in an automated or computerized manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of industrial operations maintenance and safety compliance.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
Comfortable working in an industrial environment with both indoor and outdoor exposure.
Ability to perform physical tasks including walking standing lifting (up to 50 lbs) and operating equipment.
