Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Nurse Manager to lead our Labor and Delivery team in Florence Alabama. This is an exciting opportunity to oversee clinical operations in a supportive and patient-focused environment. The ideal candidate combines strong leadership skills with hands-on Labor and Delivery experience to ensure high-quality care for mothers and newborns.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Labor and Delivery nursing team ensuring high standards of patient care
- Oversee clinical operations including staffing scheduling and workflow management
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to maintain efficient and safe care delivery
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and Labor and Delivery protocols
- Monitor quality metrics and implement process improvements as needed
- Mentor and support nursing staff providing guidance and professional development opportunities
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of five years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience
- Certifications: NRP ACLS BLS AWHONN Fetal Monitoring
- Previous leadership or management experience in a clinical setting
- Strong understanding of OR processes and Labor and Delivery protocols
- Clean nursing license with no disciplinary actions
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in other nursing areas such as the ICU
- Ten or more years of overall nursing experience
