Centra Health is seeking a Neonatology Nurse Practitioner (NNP) to join our highly respected Level III NICU team at Virginia Baptist Hospital in Lynchburg VA. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a cohesive deeply rooted unit with a longstanding reputation for exceptional outcomes and to help lead its next era of growth including a brand-new patient tower with couplet care rooms.
We are seeking a committed team-oriented clinician who thrives in a collaborative high-acuity environment and is passionate about providing excellent family-centered neonatal care.
You Can Expect- Schedule: 0.90 clinical FTE (24-hour shift model; 1728 hours annually)
- Team Model: 1 Neonatologist 1 NNP per shift
- NNPs conduct daily rounds; neonatologist provides leadership assessments and plan collaboration
- Supported by highly tenured nursing staff respiratory therapist lactation consultants and more
- Unit: Licensed for 13 beds 4 pods Avg. census: 10-13
- Accuity: Level III (B) 26 weeks and up ventilation no surgical cases onsite
- Case Types / Volumes: Care for a wide range of neonatal conditions within a busy Level III NICU; delivery room coverage for at-risk infants average of 2600 deliveries annually
- Collaboration: Work closely with board-certified neonatologists pediatric subspecialists OB/GYN partners maternal-fetal medicine and a multidisciplinary NICU team.

Required Qualifications- Masters or Doctorate degree in Nursing with Neonatal Nurse Practitioner certification
- National board certification as an NNP

- Experience in Level III or Level IV NICU strongly preferred; new graduates considered with strong NICU RN background
- Demonstrated commitment to evidence-based practice teamwork and high-quality neonatal care
