Please review the following job description:

Review and evaluate Truist applications with loan amounts requested up to $50000 to determine if the borrower meets established loan eligibility guidelines. Must be able to underwrite all loan purposes and be able to switch quickly between the qualifications of the application versus the need for the purpose. The role provides support consultation and credit decisions for both clients and the Consumer Banks lending staff.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed both major and minor which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

be able to analyze information received from the loan application income sources and credit reporting agency to assess the applicants character capacity and credit history to judgmentally determine the applicants ability to repay the loan.
assistance and direction to Consumer lenders regarding lending policies procedures processes loan structure and pricing.
and escalates document manipulation concerns and fraud risk concerns.
have a basic understanding of fraud mitigation procedures to prevent approving a fraudulent loan application.
be able to analyze loan applications and make decisions within target response service levels and meeting Truist credit and operational risk tolerances.
outgoing calls and receive incoming calls to the Underwriter phone lines.
and explain justification for all credit exceptions granted.
adhere to standards for Underwriters at this level.
monthly performance requirements as evidenced by Ongoing and QC Reviews

10. The base salary for this position is $50340 to $103480.


QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelors Degree in a business or related field or equivalent education and related training. One year of branch lending or other lending related administrative areas or equivalent Underwriting experience.
2. Ability to work in a fast-paced multitasking and team-oriented environment
3. Strong verbal and written communication skills
to focus on tasks at hand interpret information logically to solve problems and answer questions via phone and email appropriately
to provide clients and teammates with excellent service.

6. Knowledge of income verification via paystubs tax return analysis etc.
