Job Summary

The Technical Service Engineer is responsible for implementing and supporting chemical treatment programs for customers in the refinery and chemical processing sectors. The role includes delivering effective treatment solutions providing on-site technical support and managing improvement initiatives that enhance operational reliability and efficiency. As plants operate 24/7 the engineer must be responsive to customer needs including occasional after-hours support when required.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement and monitor chemical treatment programs at customer sites.
  • Conduct on-site analytical testing and resolve off-spec issues.
  • Prepare regular reports and support monthly customer reviews.
  • Manage chemical inventory and equipment requirements.
  • Support proposal development new application start-ups and value-added projects.
  • Build strong customer relationships and coordinate subcontractors.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering (min. 2 year experience).
  • Comfortable working in refinery/petrochemical environments.
  • Strong communication and reporting skills.
  • Good troubleshooting decision-making and multitasking ability.
  • Safety-focused; must commute to Jurong Island (company vehicle provided).
  • Valid Singapore Class 3 licence.
