What We Are Looking For:

This role is ideal for someone who is very organized detail oriented and thrives in a busy environment. The successful candidate will support a variety of legal professionals and gain exposure to diverse practice areas and building valuable experience. For optimal success this role requires you to be in office 5 days a week.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing Agreement of Purchase and Sale
  • Keeping track of large condominium projects using MS Excel
  • Assist with the management of all deposits related to condominium purchases for numerous units/buildings
  • Assisting in the closing process for both interim and final closings
  • Organizing files and keeping all filing up to date (both paper and electronic)
  • Various administrative tasks such as handling incoming phone calls mail faxes and emails wire deposits opening files closing files record books photocopying etc.
  • Accountable for all work assigned

Requirements:

  • Minimum of three (3) years previous real estate legal assistant experience preferably within condo development
  • Successful completion of post-secondary Law Clerk / Legal Assistant program
  • Flexible to work overtime as required
  • Ability to work in office
  • Successful completion of a related post-secondary Legal Assistant and/or Law Clerk program
  • Handle time pressure and stress of multiple demands

Skills:

  • Microsoft 365 Suite of Applications
  • Strong technical skills with creating numbering styling and rebuilding documents
  • Familiarity with iManage or a document management system
  • Experience using DocuSign would be an asset
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Organized
  • Resourceful
  • Detailed
