The Computing Solutions Department is looking for a talented Graphics Engineer to join the exciting development of a next-generation graphics & processing solution in Cedar Rapids IA. We are focused on applying this solution across a wide variety of Avionics products in safety-critical commercial and military applications. Our team is responsible for the development certification and sustainment of these data and graphics processing solutions.

An understanding of OpenGL Vulkan FACE and ARINC 661 is highly required for this position. We are also looking for an engineer that finds passion in their line of work and who integrates well in a team environment.

What You Will Do:

Serve as the engineering project leader for programs developing Avionics products including coordination of hardware software and firmware scope to meet program commitments.
Ensure consistency with Collins Aerospace technical consistent engineering processes.
Ensure compliance with program and product requirements as reflected in design plans.
Lead wide range of entry-levels to highly experienced engineers.
Demonstrate technical ability in processing platforms and the associated technologies.
Maintain awareness of key technologies and the companys competitive position.
5-10% travel as needed.

Qualifications You Must Have:

Typically requires a degree in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree 14 years of relevant experience.
3D Graphics Certification Experience.
Leadership experience in developing ruggedized products.
Experience with Avionics regulatory and certification requirements: TSO MIL-STD DO-160 DO-254 DO-178B/C DO-297 or APR4754A.

The salary range for this role is 124000 USD - 250000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
