Our client a prominent global financial institution is seeking an experienced Product Control Project Manager to join their team in Krakow Poland. This contract position offers an exciting opportunity to play a key role in driving strategic change initiatives within the Product Control function.

Position Overview

As a Product Control Project Manager you will be responsible for structuring leading and contributing to strategic change initiatives that impact the Product Control function. You will collaborate with a range of stakeholders across geographies and ranks to ensure project success. This role requires a deep understanding of corporate markets financial products and the front-to-back technology stack supporting Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet production accounting and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Design propose and setup appropriate project governance structures tailored to the needs of each initiative
  • Prioritize conflicting requirements through effective stakeholder engagement
  • Identify and resolve bottlenecks and challenges to project milestones
  • Maintain and resolve items from project RAID logs escalating high-risk items through steering groups and change forums
  • Coach guide and grow a pool of business analysts reporting to this role
  • Collaborate with other ongoing strategic initiatives within the bank to avoid duplication of efforts

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience within Product Control (PC) function or an adjacent function such as Traded/Market/Credit Risk
  • Overall experience of 8 years in the financial industry
  • Knowledge of corporate markets financial products (cash derivatives or structured)
  • Good understanding of front-to-back technology stack supporting Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet production accounting and reporting
  • Excellent communication skills both spoken and written
  • Thrives in a collaborative environment and able to work well across geographies
  • Strong time management and self-prioritization skills
  • Proactive risk identification and mitigation abilities
  • Strong stakeholder management and networking skills
  • Desire for continuous self-development and pushing delivery standards higher
