Were looking for a Manager Regulatory Issues Remediation to join our Integrated Compliance Services this role you will play a key role in supporting the development standardization and maintenance of the organizations control documentation. This role supervises a small team who works closely with process owners compliance teams and internal audit to ensure that control references and procedures are clearly defined consistently formulated accurate complete audit-ready and aligned with regulatory expectations.
Position Responsibilities
Prepare for regulatory examinations by gathering relevant data analyzing regulatory changes and organizing required documentation.
Design and execute mock examinations to assess preparedness for regulatory reviews and internal audits.
Ensure all compliance-related data is updated accurate complete and well-organized for audit and reporting purposes.
Lead and manage remediation efforts in response to regulatory findings internal audits and compliance reviews.
Ensure timely and effective resolution of issues in accordance with regulatory expectations.
Develop and oversee corrective action plans that address identified compliance gaps. Ensure actions are specific measurable achievable relevant and time-bound (SMART) and that they prevent recurrence.
Conduct regular gap assessments to identify non-compliance with regulatory requirements and internal guidelines.
Perform root cause analysis and work closely with stakeholders to develop and implement corrective action plans.
Ensure corrective action plans are aligned with identified compliance issues and prevent recurrence.
Coordinate with business units and compliance partners to ensure timely execution and completion of corrective actions.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely complete and accurate responses to regulatory inquiries.
Work with the Controls Documentation Team to ensure compliance controls are current and effective.
Experience in documentation with the ability to create policy/guidelines documents based on stakeholder discussions.
Serve as a liaison between compliance business units and regulators. Facilitate consensus on remediation priorities timelines and outcomes. Communicate progress and risks effectively to senior leadership.
Maintain strong governance over remediation activities including documentation tracking reporting and validation.
Ensure alignment with enterprise risk management and compliance frameworks.
Leverage analytical tools to generate reports on issue trends and remediation activities across the organization.
Background in documentation and data analysis to support compliance and remediation efforts.
Conduct thorough root cause analysis to identify systemic issues and design targeted remediation strategies. Collaborate with business units and compliance partners to validate findings and implement solutions.
Align remediation efforts with continuous improvement programs to enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness.
Required Qualifications:
With at least 5 years of experience in compliance risk management or audit within financial services
With at least 3 years in a leadership role cumulative to 5 yrs. of experience
Proven strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and examination process- Excellent communication stakeholder engagement and analytical skills.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Bachelors degree preferably related to Banking Finance Insurance Accounting or related course
Preferred Qualifications:
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) designation is a plus.
Excellent organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in negotiating influencing and relationship building skills.
Ability to solve problems and excellent execution of the action plans
Strong ethical compass and discipline
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with all levels of management in the organization.
Ability to facilitate decision making across groups in the company.
Ability to set priorities managing overlapping timelines and competing demands
Comprehensive knowledge of the financial services industry and regulatory environment with an advanced understanding of the Companys business
Ability to represent business internally within the company and externally outside of the company (e.g. regulators industry peers)
