Job Summary and Responsibilities
As a Charge RN youll oversee a department of frontline nurses caring for patients. Your previous experience in acute care LTC or nursing homes adds tremendous value to our nursing team. Every day you will advocate for your fellow nurses as you support them in reaching their full potential which aligns with your departments operational goals and objectives. To thrive in this role you need to be accountable and confident. Youre an excellent communicator in 1:1 interactions and in front of groups. Its also important for you to be comfortable holding tough conversations as you are responsible for the performance of your people and your unit.
- Mentors others in areas such as competency documentation equipment use plan of care National Patient Safety.
- Goals and participation in inservice education.
- Provides direct patient care as appropriate to meet the needs of the patients and department.
- Evaluates care given by staff.
- Coaches to improve care.
- Ensures standard of care is maintained.
Job Requirements
Required:
- Associates of Nursing (ADN/ASN)
- Two (2) years of Nursing Experience
- Active Nursing license in good standing valid to work in Arizona
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support card (AHA BLS)
- Current American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support card (AHA ACLS)
Preferred:
- One (1) year of experience as a Charge Nurse House Supervisor or nursing leader.
