Job Duties
The deputy clerk-wage is assigned operation responsibilities and ensures courts instructions are executed and legal papers are prepared with accuracy and in accordance with appropriate policies and procedures. This is a wage position with no benefits up to 29 hours per week.
The successful candidate will perform data entry utilizing the Courts Case Management System. Extensive filing sorting and preparing detailed court documents in accordance with established guidelines. Assumes additional responsibilities other than those primarily assigned to the position as required by management.
Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent required. The most competitive applicants will have considerable court experience. Applicants should possess strong initiative and be able to complete tasks independently with minimal supervision and within a team. Excellent written and verbal communication skill and advanced knowledge of office automation systems and computer software required. Individual must be detail oriented highly accurate and excellent at follow-up while juggling multiple tasks in a fast-paced office. The ideal candidate must have experience working in a team environment with extreme flexibility.
Additional Considerations
Juvenile & Domestic Relations Court experience in the Commonwealth of Virginia office experience and customer service experience preferred.
