Position Summary
The incumbents primary purpose is to serve as an Instructional Technologist for the Center for Teaching and Learnings Student Success efforts providing instructional design and learning analytics support. This position reports to the director for the Center for Teaching and Learning in Academic addition to providing culturally responsive hybrid and online course design services for Center for Teaching and Learning core programs responsibilities include management and assessment of special course design and faculty professional development projects as funded by Federal State and CSU system external grants that are administered through the center. Must be able to work collaboratively with a diversity of faculty and administrators across the university as well as private and public granting agencies. Job responsibilities include leading and developing professional development curriculum for workshops and faculty learning community programs. Must be a flexible learner capable of shifting technology focus as new teaching modalities and learning tools emerge.
FLSA:Exempt (Not eligible for overtime compensation)
Anticipated Hiring Range: $6492 per month (Step 1). Anticipated hiring rate is near or at the minimum of the classification salary range.
CSU Classification Salary Range: $6492 per month (Step 1) - $ 9458 per month (Step 20)
Salary step placement will be determined based on relevant qualifications and professional experience.

To enter this classification a basic foundation of knowledge and skills in technical information systems and application program packages is a prerequisite. This foundation would normally be obtained through a bachelors degree in computer science information systems educational technology communications or related fields or similar certified coursework in applicable fields of study. Foundation knowledge and skills for the Information Technology Consultant depending on the nature of the position assignment may include working knowledge of common software application packages equipment platforms reference database systems and sources and training methods and a basic understanding of networks data communication and multimedia systems.
Instructional design theories pedagogical methods online/hybrid teaching strategies and accessibility principles.
Academic technologies such as learning management tools survey tools and video conferencing
Standards for quality online course design and remediation strategies for improving quality such as Quality Matters (QM).
Microsoft package applications including Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook Onedrive Teams.

Demonstrated skill in creating hybrid online and hyflex courses that are taught by multiple instructors.
Creating program proposals plans and assessments (Ex. Program to redesign high fail rate or large equity gap courses).
Experience working collaboratively in a higher education environment and adaptive design for accessible
learning.
