Billing Coordinator

Were looking for a detail-oriented Billing Coordinator to support our revenue cycle through accurate claims processing clear communication and timely follow-up. This role is essential in maintaining the financial health of our organization.

What Youll Do:
- Prepare review and submit electronic and paper claims
- Verify policy/authorization details and correct billing info
- Ensure service code accuracy and compliance
- Bill secondary/tertiary insurance
- Manage follow-up on insurance and patient accounts
- Respond to billing inquiries from payers and patients
- Review patient bills for completeness and accuracy
What Youll Need:
- Knowledge of insurance guidelines (HMO/PPO Medicare Medicaid)
- Experience with billing software computers and 10-key
- Familiarity with CPT & ICD-10 codes
- Basic Excel skills
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Problem-solving abilities for denials discrepancies and appeals
- Understanding of accounting/bookkeeping & medical terminology
- Ability to multitask and maintain confidentiality (HIPAA compliant)
Education:
- High School Diploma required
- Associate degree in Business Accounting or Healthcare Administration preferred
