About the Role

Are you a detail-oriented finance professional with a passion for accuracy customer service and continuous improvement
Baptcare is seeking an Accounts Receivable Assistant to join our dedicated finance this role youll support the operation control and maintenance of our accounts receivable systems ensuring the accurate timely and efficient billing and collection of client resident and debtor accounts.

Youll play an important role in maintaining financial accuracy providing excellent service to internal and external stakeholders and contributing to the smooth running of our accounts receivable function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up new debtor accounts in the ERP system ensuring all admission paperwork and compliance checks are complete.
  • Accurately process resident/client admissions discharges and fee changes.
  • Complete monthly billing and issue statements in accordance with policy contractual and legislative requirements.
  • Support debt collection processes to minimise outstanding debts and maximise cash flow.
  • Process payments refunds and reconciliations (including Medicare and funding statements).
  • Prepare monthly aged debt reports and assist with identifying risks and doubtful debts.
  • Respond to client and stakeholder queries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure task coverage and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

About You

You are organised analytical and customer-focused with the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining high accuracy and attention to detail.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Minimum 2 years experience in Accounts Receivable or a similar finance role (experience in Aged Care finance highly regarded).
  • Proven knowledge of debt collection processes and credit control.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills and familiarity with ERP systems (PeoplePoint experience desirable).
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and reconciliations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
  • Analytical thinking with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Strong time management communication and customer service skills.
