The Material Handler is responsible for efficient and safe movement of materials for jobs around the facility loading and unloading shipments performing quality assurance checks on products prior to shipping any final installation of molding or trim prior to shipping packaging finished products for shipping and assisting Finisher at spray booths and on automated spray line during production. The Material Handler must be adaptable to work on different types of products and meet various client demands and deadlines. This position demands a high level of attention to detail to quality standards and accuracy when dealing with shipments.
Work Hours
Position is full-time average of 30 - 40 hours per week. Occasional overtime may be required. This position may be scheduled to work during first or second shift

Loading Dock operation

Sander operation (hand and automated)
Power hand tools to include miter saw and drills/drivers.
Quality Assurance
Incoming inspection on raw materials
Perform in-process inspections for defects.
Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and quality control guidelines for specific jobs being worked.
Record production data waste and inspection results and report/correct any deficiencies immediately.
Material Handling
Select correct raw materials and assist in appropriately preparing raw materials for paint/stain application.
Select and stage correct coating and color for specific job worked.
Assists Finisher in material movement in and out of spray booths.
Stage finished goods for appropriate curing times quality assurance and packaging.
Installation of trim and molding onto final products after Finishing according to preset standards.
Perform final quality assurance checks prior to packaging products for shipping.
Minimize scrap and handle waste materials appropriately.
Unloading automated spray line and staging finished products for packaging.
Packaging finished goods on pallets or runners to pre-established shipping standards.
Unloading and loading of shipments from loading dock and staging raw materials appropriately in warehouse using Forklift Dolly and Pallet Jack.
Performing quality checks on raw materials received into facility.
Turning in shipping paperwork and invoices to supervisor for entry into system.

Assist with basic maintenance and report equipment issues promptly.
Participate in safety training and continuous improvement programs.
Education Skills & Experience
High school diploma or GED required
12 years of warehouse shipping manufacturing and machine operation experience preferred.
Mechanical aptitude and ability to use basic hand tools.
Attention to detail and commitment to quality with a high degree of precision and accuracy.
Ability to read and follow written instructions work orders and production schedules.
Basic math and measurement skills.
Forklift certification (preferred or company-provided
