MA Teaching license RequiredHave a Bachelors Degree in a relevant field; Masters Degree Preferred 3 Years of experience working with students who display severe behavior that requires therapeutic intervention including verbal de-escalation skills and physical intervention skills as trained and certified by the Crisis Prevention Institute RequiredMust meet the physical requirements necessary to safely intervene with significant self injurious behaviors using CPI therapeutic techniques while keeping students and staff safeHave strong written and verbal communication skills and demonstrate a willingness to collaborate consistentlyDemonstrates an interest in teaching students who are struggling with complex challengesWilling to attain a 7D license Hold an unwavering belief that every student can grow succeed and deserves access to the same education as their peers. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:Provide specialized instruction to students with IEPs in a substantially separate classroom which will include generalizing skills within community settings. Ensure the awareness and implementation of students IEP goals/objectives and corresponding data collection; accurately report progress and needs related to goals/ regularly with families colleagues and related service providers to ensure consistent support for in IEP meetings team meetings staff meetings and professional development exemplary knowledge of students escalation trajectory. Use of ABA techniques to identify precursor behavior and antecedent strategies in order to provide interventions prior to dangerous behavior occurring. Possess exceptional verbal de-escalation skills to intervene using principles of ABA including but not limited to Noncontingent Reinforcement Response Interruption ReDirection Functional Communication Training Partial Extinction. Apply CPI techniques as taught with 100% safe access to community outings during the school week and actively engage students in community related skills and training. Ensure an active treatment milieu is occurring during school hours and in accordance with the daily schedule at all effectively and work cooperatively with members peers supervisors and administration and maintain a safe learning environment for an attitude of professionalism at all times in all environments and with all related persons (i.e. students families supervisor outside agencies and community members).Rate of pay: Salary is $51515
