Digital Content Specialist
Fisher College a private four-year institution located in the heart of Boston historic Back Bay is seeking an experienced and creative Digital Content Specialist to lead our online presence across the website social media channels and other digital platforms. This is a key position in shaping and elevating the Fisher College brand through strategic storytelling engaging campaigns and meaningful digital experiences.
As part of the MARCOM team youll collaborate with a talented group of marketing professionals and work-study students/interns to ensure that all digital content is timely brand-aligned and impactful. Youll lead the colleges day-to-day digital strategy to drive awareness engagement and enrollment growth.
This is an on-site position in Boston ideal for a hands-on professional who thrives in a fast-paced creative and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Digital Strategy & Management
- Coordinate all Fisher College digital properties including the website and institutional social media channels.
- Implement digital strategies that advance the colleges visibility and engagement with diverse audiences.
- Maintainand update website content and ensure a user-friendly experience aligned with brand standards.
- Monitor performance metrics analyze engagement data and produce monthly KPI reports to measure success and inform improvements.
Content Creation & Storytelling
- Develop write and produce original digital content that reflects the voice and mission of Fisher College.
- Collaborate with the in-house graphic designer to adapt print materials for digital use and ensure cross-channel consistency.
- Partner with departments across campus to gather stories highlights and achievements that showcase the college community.
- Assist with photography and video content projects from concept and shoot planning to post-production and distribution.
Social Media Leadership
- Manage and enhance Fisher Colleges official social media presence across multiple platforms (Instagram Facebook X LinkedIn TikTok YouTube).
- Create schedule and publish engaging posts while staying on top of trends analytics and platform best practices.
- Lead day-to-day community engagement and ensure brand consistency across all campus-affiliated accounts.
- Support departments on social campaigns and provide guidance on effective on-brand digital practices.
Team Development & Collaboration
- Support and guide work-study students and interns in digital marketing and social media.
- Assist students in creating peer-to-peer content particularly for TikTok Instagram and YouTube.
- Contribute a collaborative team player who supports the MARCOM office during events helping coordinate seasonal photo/video shoots and real-time social media coverage of occasional evening/weekend events.
Strategic Planning & Innovation
- Work with the MARCOM team to conceptualize and execute digital campaigns that align with institutional goals.
- Recommend tools technologies and workflows to streamline content production and track performance.
- Stay informed with emerging digital trends platforms and higher education marketing best practices.
- Participate int professional development opportunities and conferences to continuously enhance the colleges digital strategy.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Marketing Communications Journalism or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in digital content management preferably in higher education or a mission-driven organization.
- Proven expertise in social media strategy content creation and website management.
- Strong understanding of SEO analytics (GA4) and CMS platforms.
- Excellent writing editing and visual storytelling skills with a strong eye for detail.
- Highly organized and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- A creative collaborative and solutions-oriented mindset.
