Yes Capital a division of East Coast Credit Union offers alternative lending solutions for residential and commercial customers across Atlantic Canada. We are seeking a Accounting Officer reporting to the Managing Director of Yes Capital Atlantic the Accounting Officer is responsible for processing accounts payable accounts receivable and the reconciliation of general ledger and bank accounts. This role ensures all work is completed accurately and in compliance with established policies and procedures while also providing support to the parent companys finance team as needed.

You would
- Enter accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions for Yes Capital.
- Processes EFT transactions related to Yes Capital.
- Balances and reconciles general ledger accounts.
- Responds to vendor inquiries regarding payment status and provides required documentation.
- Assists with accounting-related projects.
- Identifies and recommends improvements to policies and processes to enhance workflow efficiency.
- Provides administrative support as needed.
- Assists and serves as backup for other members of the Yes Capital team completing additional duties and projects as assigned.
- Supports the annual budget process.
You have
- Completed a diploma in accounting or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- One to three years related experience and/or training in an accounting environment.
You are
- Knowledgeable of accounting principles.
- Experienced in budget and expense management.
- Competent in using various accounting and financial platforms including QuickBooks Online Paymentstream Sparcpay and Zoho CRM.
- Comfortable working independently while also contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.
