Job Description & Summary

At PwC our people in audit and assurance focus on providing independent and objective assessments of financial statements internal controls and other assurable information enhancing the credibility and reliability of this information with a variety of stakeholders. They evaluate compliance with regulations including assessing governance and risk management processes and related controls.

Those in internal audit at PwC help build optimise and deliver end-to-end internal audit services to clients in all industries. This includes IA function setup and transformation co-sourcing outsourcing and managed services using AI and other risk technology and delivery models. IA capabilities are combined with other industry and technical expertise in areas like cyber forensics and compliance to address the full spectrum of risks. This helps organizations to harness the power of IA to help the organization protect value and navigate disruption and obtain confidence to take risks to power growth.

As a Senior Associateyoullwork as part of a team of problem solvers helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. PwC Professional skills and responsibilities for this management level include but are not limited to:

  • Work independently to manage engagements and projects including risk assessment and engagement planning audit project planningfieldworkand reporting;

  • Define the scope of the engagement by maximizing the use of the tools artificial intelligencesolutionsandIT technologies available;

  • Effectively prepare high valuedeliverables;

  • Manage the engagement economics and individual project budgets schedule and resource allocation ensuring that all budgetsmilestonesand other deadlines are met;

  • Coordinate and work closely with a network of subject matter specialists to ensure a seamless integration ofspecialized resources;

  • Participate in and contribute to the internalcontrolLearning and Development program;

  • Maintain awareness of advancements ininternalcontrolsand internal audit(best practicesnew technologies data analytics tools relevant regulations subject matter areas risk managementtechniquesand audit approaches).

Experiences and SkillsYoullUse to Solve

  • Post-secondary education or relevant experience in professional accounting or in the IT field

  • Accounting designation: CPA CMA CGAor CISA/CIA (asset)

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in internal auditing internal controls risk management

  • Understanding ofSOX and NI 52-109 compliance requirements and best practices for a risk-basedapproach

  • Effectiveuse of tools and IT technologies in performingwork related tointernal controland internal audit

  • Ease and significant desire to learn to usenew technologies(analytics automation robotic collaboration toolsMicrosoftsuite)

  • Experience inwriting reportssupported by solid business writing skills and experience.
