IT Technician
Job Summary:
The Internal IT Technician is responsible for providing technical support maintaining internal IT systems and assisting with infrastructure and security initiatives. This role requires hands-on experience with hardware software and network troubleshooting as well as a working knowledge of compliance frameworks such as SOC 2.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide technical support to internal users across hardware software and network issues.
- Install configure and maintain desktops laptops printers and mobile devices.
- Support Microsoft 365 administration including user setup license management and troubleshooting.
- Assist with network and server maintenance including patching monitoring and backups.
- Maintain IT asset inventory and ensure accurate documentation of systems and configurations.
- Participate in internal audits and support SOC 2 compliance efforts by following and documenting IT policies and procedures.
- Identify and escalate security risks or non-compliant practices.
- Collaborate with the IT Manager on projects such as system upgrades migrations and new technology rollouts.
Qualifications:
- Associates or Bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2 years of experience in an IT support or technician role.
- Familiarity with SOC 2 compliance requirements and IT security best practices.
- Proficiency with Windows OS Microsoft 365 and basic networking concepts.
- Strong troubleshooting communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with endpoint management tools.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure AWS).
- Understanding of Information Technology Infrastructure.
