Job Summary
Responsibilities
Research responsibilities include working on applying for HIH grants associated with nephrology-related human studies. The goal will be to obtain NIH funding after 2 years of being hired at UT Health Science Center expected to cover at least 35% of the salary from the NIH grant. This position will mentor some medical students for a research project that link with Nephrology. This position is responsible for holding clinical sessions and inpatient attending duties at clinical practice sites. Supervises Nephrology fellows.
Qualifications
EDUCATION:M.D. Degree.
EXPERIENCE:Demonstrated track record of excellence in patient care research peer-reviewed publications and the potential to serve as a Principal Investigator of cutting-edge clinical trials.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:Board-certified or board-eligible in Nephrology is required. Active or eligibility to obtain a Tennessee Medical License.
