The Department of Sustainable Delivery (DSD) is a new division within the NYC Department of Transportation (DOT) launched in 2025 to respond to the rapid growth of app-based delivery and the widespread use of electric micromobility devices on city streets. As these vehicles become more common for both personal and commercial use DSD is responsible for ensuring they are used safely legally and in ways that support the Citys broader transportation and climate goals.
