What youll do:

Supporting code deployment releases and promotions within test and production environments
Perform product installation and configuration with some troubleshooting assistance from others in Operations
Incident management including the investigation and triage of various software application and database issues while collaborating with internal teams to ensure fast turnaround times on issue/incident resolution
Monitor solutions production customer test and internal environments for function and performance
Monitor system performance troubleshoot issues and implement solutions to optimize efficiency and minimize downtime.
Maintain monitoring tools and systems to proactively identify and address potential issues.
Install configure and upgrade third party products and open source solutions
Participate in and contribute at daily stand-up meetings
Execution and validation of deployment installation configuration release processes and procedures
Develop and maintain automation tools and processes to streamline operations and improve productivity
Document operational and system architecture process and configuration and identify automation opportunities where applicable
Participating in the Operations 24x7 on-call rotation schedule
When needed active participation in critical problem resolution outside of typical working hours
An employee may perform duties outside of the listed responsibilities as needed

Minimum Requirements:

Experience configuring managing and upgrading servers and software
Experience with RDS database applications (eg. Oracle MySQL) and administration
Able to recognize and independently resolve issues
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Proven collaboration skills including written and verbal communication with internal and external stakeholders
Ability to work independently and/or collaborate with internal teams with minimal assistance to solve problems

Desirable:

Familiarity with CI/CD tools(Subversion Git Azure DevOps SaltStack)
Working knowledge of caching concepts network and infrastructure models
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (eg. Terraform)
Software development experience on Linux platforms in common scripting languages (Perl Python Groovy Ruby bash)
Experience with Logstash and Elastic
Familiarity with Kibana JIRA and Remedy
Proficiency in cloud platform tools such asAWS Cloud Services Cloudtrail Lambda System Manager Disaster Recovery Solutions
Experience working across multiple time zones.
Growing ability to train and mentor other team members of all seniorities

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science Engineering (Electrical Software or Telecommunications) or a related field.
Minimum 2 -3 years experience with development and release processes
AWS certification is preferred but not required
