Job Summary

Responsibilities

As an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer II here at Honeywell you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our manufacturing operations. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to optimize production processes driving continuous improvement initiatives and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve operational excellence.

You will report directly to our Engineering Manager and youll work out of our Minneapolis MN location on a 100% onsite work schedule.

In this role you will impact the efficiency and quality of our manufacturing operations by optimizing production processes and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Your expertise will help us stay at the forefront of advanced manufacturing technologies and ensure that we deliver innovative and high-quality products to our customers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and oversee advanced manufacturing processes to ensure quality efficiency and productivity.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize production processes and drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement advanced manufacturing technologies.
  • Provide test and manufacturing support for Ring Laser Gyro (RLG) and Tactical Guidance Products (TGP) production.
  • Perform yield and performance data analysis to monitor process capability product health trends and drive yield improvements.
  • Utilize CAMP Lean and Six-Sigma methodologies to govern engineering standard work practices.
  • Investigate and resolve technical issues facilitate issue identification and analysis.
  • Develop improvements in product design and in the manufacturing and assembly processes for cost and cycle time reductions.
  • Assist development of new products.
  • Support knowledge for test equipment and preventative maintenance plans to maintain factory capacity and efficient product flow.
  • Facilitate a self-driven work force culture to achieve RTY BIQ COPQ and other SQDIC goals.

Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science technology engineering mathematics.
  • 2 years of experience in advanced manufacturing or process optimization.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing technologies such as automation robotics and additive manufacturing.
  • Experience with data analysis and statistical process control.
  • Proficiency in manufacturing software tools and technologies relevant to process optimization.

WE VALUE

  • Advanced Engineering degrees like ME (Mechanical Engineering) EE (Electrical Engineering) Chemical Engineering or similar.
  • Product or process engineering experience.
  • Experience with Optics.
  • Ability to work in a cleanroom environment.
  • Ability to balance priorities in daily tasks and strategic projects.
  • Hands on work ethic. Initiative and ownership of responsibilities and actions.
  • Ability to partner and collaborate well with team members across functions.
  • Quickly and accurately identifying subtle interrelationships and patterns among a variety of problems and issues (process and data correlation of cause/effect across value stream).
  • Conveying information with clarity and directness ensuring the message is understood across diverse teams.
  • Root Cause Corrective Action / Lean / Six Sigma

The annual base salary range for this position is $82400 - $103000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position the candidates work experience education and training key skills as well as market and business considerations.

THE BUSINESS UNIT

Mechanical Systems & Components provides a wide range of mechanical products and value-adding services to Honeywell Aerospace customers including aircraft manufacturers and operators and agencies of the U.S. government. The business develops and manufactures air and thermal systems mechanical components and wheels and braking systems. It also manages and operates facilities for the Federal government. Every 5 seconds an aircraft lands with Honeywell Wheels and brakes. The entire fleet of U.S military fighters and trainers use Honeywell Cabin Pressure Systems.
