Thales Singapore Engineering Competence Centre (ECC) is a well-established R&D and engineering centre serving major customers worldwide in Digital Identity and Security domains ranging from mobile connectivity IoT banking & payment to government solutions.

As part of the Embedded Deployment & Support team (eD&S) the Product Deployment Leader ensures successful cards product deployment to internal users (Technical Consultant (TC)) and maintaining product usability and supportability. You will be the gatekeeper and voice of users (internal and external) to improve product design and usage as well as providing quality and on-time support to TC worldwide and customers from product issuance to field extinction.

Responsibilities:

Deployment

  • Ensure successful deployment of a product until first production with close interaction with various departments (R&D/Industralisation/Tools) and collaborate with Product Managers to improve product usability and supportability.
  • Ensure product quality by performing acceptance tests based on concrete use cases.
  • Ensure successful product deployment to TC with good documentation and user guides and conducting training to TC.
  • Ensure successful hand-over of product support from R&D and Deployment to Support through effective knowledge transfer training.
  • Manage OS model by participating in the baseline review and proposing improvements on features usability.

Support

  • Ensure quality and on-time support (understanding configuration testing and usage) to worldwide TC and external customers with respect to Service Level Agreement.
  • Be proactive and work closely with various departments (R&D/PSE/Tools) to unblock the situation by putting in place corrective actions and answer to business needs with proper marketing pitches.
  • Contribute to the continuous evolution of products and supporting tools as well as help market our products to our internal customers.
  • Lead and organise communication between different teams involved in issue investigation and resolution in order to meet customers expectations.
  • Define and set up the contractual support offer based on Sales inputs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree or higher in Telecommunications/Electronics/Computer Science
  • Min. 5 years experience in development or as a Technical Consultant/pre-sales in telecom cards (SIM cards embedded cards etc)
  • Knowledge and experience in:
    • SIM cards standards
    • OS and embedded applications
    • Mobile platform
    • eSIM/Secure Element/GSM
  • Knowledge in Visual Basic C and Java (source code reading) is good-to-have
